Helping girls find the sixth form that’s right for them

User Experience UI Design Prototyping

Designing a campaign microsite that helps girls find the right sixth form, guided by real student stories.

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the UK’s largest group of independent girls’ schools, educating over 20,000 students across England and Wales. They wanted to launch a campaign site to support prospective sixth formers in choosing the right school, using real student stories as a guide.

We were brought in by Bandstand, GDST’s lead agency for this project, to shape the UX, UI and motion design for the site. While the research, strategy, concept and art direction came from Bandstand, our role was to translate their vision into a meaningful, intuitive experience.

Process

We produced wireframes, UI designs and animated prototypes, detailing key transitions and interactions to guide Bandstand’s development team. Given we weren’t handling the build ourselves, it was important to document and demonstrate how the experience should move, look and feel for the end user.

Results

This collaborative project was a pleasure to deliver alongside the agency team. While we didn’t track outcomes directly, the result is a thoughtful, user-focused campaign that places girls’ needs at the heart of the journey.
