An interactive 3D snow globe celebrating Balfour Beatty’s global infrastructure projects with creativity, storytelling and holiday cheer.
Balfour Beatty wanted an engaging digital Season’s Greetings card that could be emailed to clients and colleagues around the world. Our aim was to deliver something visually striking and meaningful to audiences across the regions where Balfour Beatty operates.
Process
After researching Balfour Beatty’s projects worldwide, we developed the idea of a miniature “World of Balfour Beatty” inside an interactive snow globe. From energy and highways to airports and underground works, we recreated and animated iconic projects to showcase the company’s global reach.
Starting with sketches and prototypes, we brought the concept to life as a 3D experience where users could rotate the globe and interact with projects to learn more. The journey concluded with an illuminated hilltop sign reading “Season’s Greetings” — powered, of course, by a Balfour Beatty energy project.
Results
The snow globe was well received and included a personal commendation from Balfour Beatty’s CEO, who praised the Communications team for an exceptional execution. The interactive card successfully coupled creativity and brand storytelling in a holiday greeting to remember.
