GREAT ORMOND STREET CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

A COMPLETE UX OVERHAUL TO ULTIMATELY INCREASE PRIVATE PATIENT REFERRALS
GOSH_Hero@2x

WHAT THIS PROJECT WAS ABOUT

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is rated as one of the top 5 children’s hospitals in the world. The International and Private Patient (IPP) unit at GOSH treats over 5,000 children from around the world each year with rare and complex conditions. All of the profit generated through the service is reinvested back into the NHS Trust to fund new buildings, equipment and beds for NHS patients at GOSH.

Understanding that a solid UX solution was needed in order to achieve the unit's objectives, the IPP marketing team brought in Zaang to research, plan and conduct a full design overhaul of the site.

"

...already we’ve seen a reduction on the homepage bounce rate by about 20% and a significant amount more referrals which we’re actually now able to track so can prove the ROI of the site. Thank you for all your help on the project, it’s something everyone really appreciates.

UX DESIGN

We defined the information architecture for the site and validated this through several card sorting exercises. We then planned the interaction design and delivered a 100+ page document of fully annotated, high fidelity wireframes.

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT & UI DESIGN

We developed the visual language (based on the existing colour palette for the brand) and rolled out the UI components before prepping these for developer handover.

DEVELOPER SUPPORT

We provided the technical agency with comprehensive documentation to explain desired functionality, supplied the designs via Zeplin and maintained weekly contact throughout the development phase to ensure designs were implemented as planned and to update UI where required.

MAYBE WE CAN HELP YOU TOO?

If you have a design, UX or technical challenge that you think we can help you with, please  send us a project request for a no-obligation proposal.
